The Summer I Got a Standing Ovation
I wrote a play for the 5th graders at the orphanage, and they put it on for the local community.
I was so nervous.
But it made a huge splash, and they received not one but two standing ovations.
After the play, me boyfriend was so proud he took us all out for ice cream and bought every performer an ice cream. some had never had ice cream before.
My life has been loads more fun since the...
Let us meet in the garden to discuss
Dear Friends, come quickly. We have important news to discuss. A loaf of cinnamon bread is almost out of the oven. Let us gather in the garden at 2. Speak no word of this to anyone.

Summertime at Touslesjoursdimanche
Every day my mind is blown in amazement at the gorgeousness appearing on the blog about a mother and her five kids (one my age, four very young) living in the french country side. Today I guess it was the mom’s birthday party. Amazing.
Yesterday it was cherry picking, swan watching, bean shelling, ocean going, picnic eating, costume wearing, zoo visiting, face painting, fruit hat wearing,...
Tavi's latest
What a cool outfit from Tavi. I guess she is going for the supernatural child awkwardly maturing into a teen look she loves.
I was so blown away by her look I instantly purchased the same patch on the back of her sweater to try to recreate her sweater exactly.
What was I thinking?!
ttys.
Genuine Happiness
This was expression of the day over at my fave blog eyesforlies a while back.
Genuine happiness.
When was a time you remember feeling like this or seeing this expression in someone else?

I like her use of large vases and candles.
a whimsial party she held for her friends in her apt.

Review of Tupac Documentary, Youtube Interview,...
So last night I watched this interview with Tupac on youtube filmed when he was 17 years old. There are 4 parts and I stayed up watching it till late in the night. I was drawn in by how philosophical, kind and charming this teen was, and also how he talked about living such a hard life growing up poor. The whole interview is extremely interesting.
I had to know more about him. We had just...
Things I love Thursday
Gala Darling, this blogger, does this thing on her site called Things I Love Thursdays, where she just lists off little things she’s liking that week.
Today she was like, try making your own, every week there are so many little things that are great going on.
Here is my attempt. I will proceed to list off things I’m loving this week:
Fruit leathers—I just ate literally six;...
What I did with my money
With cash I bought up a 300 miles of land in Canada
with cash, i financed the technology that could grow meat in a petri dish, and there was a breakthrough in a month.
With cash, i bought out the livestock of every factory farm and had the animals transported to my reserve.
With my cash, I replaced the walls of my office with glass, so I could survey my handiwork.
and lo, it was...
Poem by Rumi
Rubaiyat #178a
In your light I learn how to love. In your beauty, how to make poems. You dance inside my chest, where no one sees you, but sometimes I do, and that sight becomes this art.
Unmarked Boxes by Rumi
Ode #1937: Unmarked Boxes
Don’t grieve. Anything you lose comes round in another form. The child weaned from mother’s milk now drinks wine and honey mixed. God’s joy moves from unmarked box to unmarked box, from cell to cell. As rainwater, down into flower bed. As roses, up from ground. Now it looks like a plate of rice and fish, now a cliff covered with vines, now a...

we are not alone
One of the earliest thoughts I ever remember having is being 2 and looking out my window in the apartment where we lived in new york and thinking, I wonder if there is someone out there in the city having my exact same thought at this exact same moment.
That’s the kind of thought I can picture my brother aubs having, because he likes weird paradoxes.
I remember realizing how there were...

Recuerdo – Edna St. Vincent Millay
We were very tired, we were very merry – We had gone back and forth all night upon the ferry. It was bare and bright, and smelled like a stable – But we looked into a fire, we leaned across a table, We lay on the hill-top underneath the moon; And the whistles kept blowing, and the dawn came soon.
We were very tired, we were very merry – We had gone...

Blathering On
A Brief Vague Update:
It has been raining a lot here. I like the rain a lot. I wish it would rain for weeks at a time— like in “forks” lol (twilight reference). Rain— It sounds great, everything looks great with the leaves green and dripping, etc, it feels interesting on the skin, the air is fresher, if you have boots it is fun to wade into the puddles at the curbs, and...
