My friend Ned told me to look up Sempe, and I did, and now I love him. Why didn’t I know about him before? He illustrated Le Petit Nicolas (one of my mom’s favorite books). It’s amazing how people are able to capture feelings such as these in art.

Martha strikes again
I had to post this. Martha’s chow chow Ghengis Khan was going to be in Westminster, so Martha thought it would be great to treat him to a night at the Plaza hotel. The plaza made an exception to their no dogs allowed rule and they were able to dine together and have cocktails together in the Rose Bar afterwards. Then they got their “hair” done and retired to their bed chamber...
